December 1

SFSFF's holiday program, A DAY OF SILENTS, at the Castro Theatre on Saturday, December 1, was a rousing success!

One full day of live cinema (six programs!) at San Francisco's landmark movie palace Castro Theatre with beautiful images from the silent era set to superb live musical accompaniment—an absolutely wonderful holiday event! Musicians at A DAY OF SILENTS included award-winning composer/pianist Wayne Barker (Peter and the Starcatcher) in his SFSFF debut, Alloy Orchestra, Jon Mirsalis, and Mont Alto Motion Picture Orchestra.

The upcoming San Francisco Silent Film Festival takes place May 1–5, 2019 at the Castro Theatre. That's five days of glorious live cinema with more than 23 programs! An all-program FESTIVAL 2019 PASS is on sale now at a low, low holiday special price until December 26.
