Beau Geste
Live musical accompaniment by Mont Alto Motion Picture Orchestra
Winner of Photoplay’s Medal of Honor, and movie that launched a franchise, in the restoration it deserves. Three tightknit English brothers run off to join the French Foreign Legion after a family heirloom goes missing. Expecting high adventure, they instead find themselves fighting for their lives in the middle of the Sahara—against their fellow legionnaires. William Powell in a stand-out role as the villain’s bootlicker.
