Our annual A Day of Silents event took place Sunday, February 2, at SFJAZZ Center. Mont Alto Motion Picture Orchestra was there! Mas Koga and Wayne Barker joined Guenter Buchwald conducting the SF Conservatory of Music Orchestra! A splendid time was had!

Maestro Ben Palmer conducted the US premiere of Stephen Horne’s brilliant score for Hitchcock’s The Manxman at Grace Cathedral on Saturday, January 11 to a sold-out crowd. Editor Shari Kizirian sat down with Palmer to get his thoughts on scoring Hitchcock.
