Giovanni Spinelli is a composer for film, television, theater, and dance based in New York City. Born in England and raised in London, New York, Stockholm, and Florence, Spinelli’s multicultural background is reflected in musical influences as diverse as Arvo Pärt, Brian Eno, Astor Piazzolla, Philip Glass, and Ryuchi Sakamoto. His musical styles range from lyrical classical minimalism, to ambient and electronica, to experimental rock. Spinelli’s orchestral and chamber works have been performed throughout Italy. He performs regularly in New York as a guitarist and pianist.
