The Hot Club of San Francisco was formed by multi-instrumentalist Paul Mehling to play in the style Django Reinhardt and his compatriots in the Quintette du Hot Club de France made popular in the 1930s—Gypsy Jazz, a blend of traditional Roma music and swing jazz. Along with Mehling, who contributes guitar, violin, bass, and vocals, other Hot Club members include Isabelle Fontaine (vocals, guitar), Evan Price (violin), Jordan Samuels (guitar), and Sam Rocha (bass).
