Pandora at the Paramount!
The restoration of PANDORA’S BOX screened at the glorious Art Deco palace, Oakland’s Paramount Theatre accompanied live by Club Foot Orchestra and SF Conservatory of Music conducted by maestro Deidre McClure.
The Maestro
Conductor Deirdre McClure has worked with many orchestras, opera companies, and chamber ensembles in the Bay Area, including the Oakland Opera Theater, where she has been Music Director and Conductor since 2001. McClure has toured the United States, Canada, and Mexico with the Club Foot Orchestra and has worked with the Oakland Community Orchestra, the Women’s Orchestra of San Francisco, the University of California Youth Music Program, as well as the San Francisco Conservatory of Music’s contemporary music ensemble. McClure is the conductor of the Odeon Orchestras in Rockport, Maine.

Club Foot players included Alisa Rose (first violin), Beth Custer (clarinets), Sheldon Brown and Nik Phelps (woodwinds), Chris Grady (trumpet), Richard Marriott (trombones, euphonium, and flute), Steve Kirk (guitar and banjo), Myles Boise (bass and guitar), and Kjell Nordeson (percussion). SFCM players included Poyu Lee (second violin), Sarah Hooton (viola), Calvin Kung (cello), Haley Hoffman (oboe and English horn), Eddie Virtgaym (timpani), and Jon Lee (piano).
