In June 2013 SFSFF brought a truly incredible program to the Castro Theatre – Alfred Hitchcock’s nine surviving silent films, restored beautifully by the British Film Archive! Each program was accompanied live by musicians including Stephen Horne, Mont Alto Motion Picture Orchestra, Judith Rosenberg, and Diana Rowan.
The Program
The program consisted of the following titles: BLACKMAIL, CHAMPAGNE, DOWNHILL, EASY VIRTUE, THE FARMER’S WIFE, THE LODGER, THE MANXMAN, THE PLEASURE GARDEN, and THE RING.
